Here’s a list of job opportunities you may want to try your luck into if you are passionate about CBD marijuana or would like to engage and know more about the industry:
Cultivation Director
This person ensures that the production of cannabis is always premium and abides by federal and state laws. They set the standard operating procedures in the growing operation. They manage the team, plan pest control, and create harvesting schedules. The cultivation director aims to produce healthy and potent marijuana. Applicants who can multi-task and have experience in commercial greenhouse production are a plus.
Trimmer
This is a good entry point in the industry, especially if you don’t have experience in related fields. You have to enjoy gardening to last in this position and be precise and quick with your movements and thinking. Some of the tasks of a trimmer include getting the buds dried out and preparing them for selling, trimming the leaves as needed, and checking the harvested plants to remove the buds.
Master Grower
As a master grower, you will oversee the safety of cannabis and handle growth operations, including pest control, crop nutrition, and planting. You will have an advantage if your expertise lies in botany or horticulture.
Quality Manager
This person oversees product testing. If you are hired for the job, you will be responsible for approving and reviewing all processes involved in processing and testing. You will also initiate investigations on complaints about the quality of the product.
Lab and Extraction
Extraction of tincture and oils is done in laboratories. The person who oversees the process needs to have a background in chemistry and science. Aside from extraction, the role also tests cannabis for potentially harmful substances, pesticides, solvents, and microbes.
